Abstract
In this paper, monitoring real-time data for steel making process is designed and implemented based on WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) within internet environment. Industrial application example, steel making process, is demonstrated. There are four major operations: raw material storage, coal operation, blast furnace and converter plant. Service design for monitoring process is created and hosted in internet information services (IIS). To monitor the real-time data of steel making process from internet environment, one website is developed using ASP.net. Average response time and response rate for basicHttpbinding method are tested. Keywords- WCF, TCP, steel making process, internet, IIS
