Abstract |
Penetration of renewable energy system for generation of electrical energy is fast growing on account of depletion of fossil fuels and environmental constraints. But the cost of a stand-alone system with respect to the load is the main obstacle. This paper presents a comparative case study of a stand-alone and grid connected Renewable energy system for a community in Mumbai India. WGS and SPVG are considered as the viable renewable resources for the location under study. Cost and Sizing analysis has been performed for both stand-alone and grid connected system using HOMER software. The results have been presented for both cases to bolster the conclusion of the paper. Keywords— Hybrid Energy Renewable System, Stand-Alone, Grid Connected, HOMER, Cost Analysis. | |||||||||
