Abstract |
The main objective of image fusion is to combine higher spatial information in one band with higher spectral information in another dataset to create synthetic higher resolution multispectral datasets and images. The spine image fusion includes fusion of CT images and MRI images of spine into a single image containing both information of CT and MRI modalities. CT image gives information about bony structure whereas MRI gives soft tissue details. NSCT method eliminates the need of correlation and alignment as method allows physician to observe soft tissue and bony details on single image. The proposed algorithm Non Sub sampled Contour let transform (NSCT) gives fast performance as it provides mutiscale, mutidirectional and shift invariant property.
