Abstract
The Capture, utilization, and storage known as CCUS, is a crucial tool in the fight against climate change. This technology extracts CO2 from stationary sources and redistributes it to various sites for intermediate use and/or long-term storage. Utilizing captured CO2 from industrial sources, known as capture and utilization (CCU), can help conserve resources and improvethe circular economy. Additionally, by storing captured CO2 for extended periods, capture and storage (CCS) is effective in reducing CO2 emissions. This paper discusses about the concept and limitations of different technologies used to capture, store/utilize the CO2 from industrial sources. The challenges and opportunities in adopting these technologies in the Indian power sector have also been discussed. Keywords - Capture, Utilization, Storage, combustion.
