Abstract |
Abstract - This paper presents a YD balance traction transformer for the application of electrified railway traction power system. The YD traction transformer is used to supply to the two single phase traction load without using any additional auxiliary transformer. The power quality problems like negative sequence current, power factor can be minimize by proper design of transformer. The YD transformer is analyzed mathematically & graphically and simulated in MATLAB simulink. Simulation results on MATLAB are presented for different tapping through secondary winding of transformer.
