Abstract |
Nowadays, increasing non-linear load on the electrical system causes more harmonic distortion. Active power filters (APF) are widely used for harmonic mitigation. In this paper, the p-q theory is used to calculate the reference current. the reference current is used to control the active power filter switching pattern in generating the anti-harmonics current needed to eliminate the harmonics. From the simulation, the reference current generated can reduce the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) from 27.47% to 1.66%. Keywords - Harmonic, Shunt Active Power Filter, P-Q Theory | |||||||||
