Abstract
This approach introduces to a method of using Microsoft Kinect in the Industrial environment where human intervention is impossible. The Kinect sensor was originally developed to be used in the field of gaming to provide a Virtual environment; it recognizes the hand gesture based on RGB-D sensor present in it also performing image processing to provide a skeleton image of the subject under presence. The Arm joint of the subject is taken into consideration in controlling the actuation of the Robot which is established using Programmable Logic Controller. The entire process is viewed using the supervisory and control tool (SCADA).The major limitation in industry is removing the calibration error which is resolved by Robots using Microsoft Kinect.
