Abstract |
Face recognition is one of the challenging fields and rigorous research has been carried out in this regard. Among the many hurdles in face recognition, facial expressions are one. Identifying different expressions are vital in order to uniquely recognize a face. This paper makes a study of the neural network based approaches to identify expressions which aids in fostering face recognition systems. Multilayer Perceptron and Self Organizing Maps are the variants of neural networks, which are discussed here in detail. | |||||||||
