Abstract |
The non-adaptive algorithm and adaptive algorithm for relay are implemented in MATLAB. A single machine and load system connected by a 200 km transmission line is used for simulation. The SSSC is installed at the mid-point of the transmission line. A bypass breaker is used to connect the SSSC to the line. The relay will either output one or zero depending on whether there is a fault or not on the transmission line. This output will control the circuit breaker. For a fault on line, the relay will output zero. This will open the circuit breaker. | |||||||||
