Abstract
This paper presents an advanced photovoltaic integrated system which can deliver the maximum power from photovoltaic arrays to the utility and induction motor, as well as can simultaneously provide power conditioning to suppress power line distortions. The PV system is integrated with an additional feature of Active Power Filter (APF). The entire working system consists of PV source, boost converter to obtain maximum power from PV array using MPPT control method, voltage source converter(VSC) and a non linear load(can be a Induction Motor). PV-APF controller is designed using Modified Instantaneous Reactive Power Theory. The MATLAB/SIMULINK tool is used for simulation and result validation. Keywords - Renewable Energy, Active power Filter, Power Quality, Maximum Power Point Tracking.
