Abstract
In this Project, particle swarm optimization ((PSO) algorithm is used to design Band pass and band stop infinite impulse response filter. The use of Digital filters in implementing high performance circuits in digital signal environment is becoming increasingly popular. In this Project the rationale is to design a FIR filter by particle swarm optimization method (PSO). The filter coefficient is calculated by Particle Swarm Optimization methods. The Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is a simple, algorithm based on the swarms for search and optimization from a multidimensional space(3D). Keywords - Particle Swarm Optimisation(PSO), Iteration Vs Magnitude, Algorithm, global best (gbest), particle best (pbest), Correction factor.
