Abstract
A high directivity directional coupler based on two-short asymmetric coupled microstrip line is presented in this paper. The asymmetric coupled line configuration is utilized in coupler design to improve its performance. The measurement results show the proposed coupler can give a maximum directivity of 40 dB at 130 MHz. In the frequency range of VHF(10- 300 MHz), the directivity is over 31 dB while the reflection coefficient is below -26dB.
