Abstract
The main aim of this paper is to investigate the influence of combination of vehicle chassis control by developing new architecture of Active Aerodynamics Control and Hydraulic Interconnected Suspension. A 14 Degree-of-freedom nonlinear vehicle model is employed by using VI-CarRealTime software. Two chassis controls which are Active Aerodynamics Control and Hydraulic Interconnected Suspension are developed independently to achieve their control objects. Step steer and lane change manoeuvres are performed on various road conditions to illustrate the effectiveness of proposed combined chassis control. The results of the simulation are found to prove that superposition of chassis controllers improves vehicle stability and comfort.
