Abstract
The mixed model part can be seen in various industries. Therefore, a well-organized process plan is needed to cope with the mixed part production particularly for those being processed on an automated machining center. In this paper, we address a mathematical relaxation technique for solving the process planning problem to minimize the total production time. The new algorithm is mathematical relaxation technique compared with the integer linear programming optimization technique, The results show that the mathematical relaxation technique can reduce computation time, especially for largescale problems.
