Abstract |
Simple and rapid method was developed for determination of Impurity profile of Glipizide from Metformin and Glipizide tablets using HPLC. This method makes use of sub-two micron particle size column for rapid separation of Metformin and Glipizide along with the impurities. The method was validated to prove its effectiveness for intended use. Peak responses were found to be linear in the working concentration of impurity from range of 0.5 ppm to 5 ppm for Glipizide. The correlation coefficient was found to be 0.999 for Glipizide. This method will be useful for the determination of impurity profile of Glipizide in presence of Metformin from combination tablet dosage form.
