Abstract |
A novel system is proposed that can generate electricity and desalinate saltwater in the presence of a low temperature heat source. An experimental prototype has been designed, manufactured, assembled and tested. Experimental data has been analysed and a discussion of results has ensued. Results indicate that steady vacuum has been maintained for the test duration. With a steady supply of 50 Watts of heat energy over a two hour period, the system has yielded 90.36 grams of fresh water and an open circuit voltage of 1.8 volts.
