Abstract
In this study unsteady free convection in a domain partly filled with porous substrate is investigated semianalytically using the Laplace transformation technique. A porous domain is adjacent to one of the heated walls is considered and a modified Brinkman Darcy model is taken into consideration to obtain the hydrodynamics behavior of the porous substrate. Effect of some of parameters, such as thermal diffusivity ratios and thermal conductivity ratios, on the hydrodynamics and thermal behavior is investigated.
