Abstract |
Python is becoming increasingly popular programing language. Some sources even claim it is the fastest growing major programming language. As it is completely free, it is very popular in academic environment. In this paper its capabilities in the area of image processing, image analysis and computer vision in general are discussed. The libraries which facilitate the associated tasks are described. The execution of some of the most common algorithms in the field is also demonstrated.
