Abstract
The present work investigates the enhancement in the convective heat transfer coefficients of evaporator and condenser section of mesh wick heat pipe. CuO/DI water nanofluid with the concentrations of 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 wt.% respectively are used as a working fluid and its results are compared with DI water. Orientation of heat pipe is also varied and it improves the thermal performance. The heat transfer coefficients of evaporator and condenser sections are found to increase withheat flux. The dry out condition of heat pipe is delayed by about 20% with the addition of CuO nanoparticles in horizontal position and 14.2% due to the inclination of heat pipe
