Abstract |
Lightning is the natural phenomena which can cause the effects to human and our building. Lightning protection system must be installed into building to protect damage cause by the high lightning current impact. Alternative method was developed by installed the lightning cable into the concrete structure and clamped with reinforcement bar. 5 different sample of concrete prepared for this research with two controls (with and without electric current) and three with electric current (15 kA, 30 kA and 45 kA). The outcomes indicated the high electric current doesn’t have any reduction in flexural capacity and different in cracking pattern and behaviors.
