Abstract |
This paper presents a modified design of the fuel banjo joint to prevent leakage from the fuel system. In Tata trucks there was increase in the number of leakage problems from the fuel system and particularly from banjo joint. Different types of solutions were discussed for the prevention of leakage problem like increasing the torque for tightening of bolts or using different types of joints. In this paper I have proposed most suitable solution having complete leakage prevention with decrease in the cost of production along with ease of implementation. In this paper I have proposed design modification of the fuel banjo joint, along with the results of its implementation.
