Abstract
The terminology "Knowing-Doing-Gap" expresses the increasing gap between what we know and what we really do and implement. This huge wasting of knowledge is called "the Knowing-Doing-Gap". The role of universities to minimize this gap was discussed from many scientists from both micro and macro perspective. Some scientists focusing in their research on a managerial approach in dealing with new knowledge, other researchers focused on the problem at the macro level introduced. In this study the author explores both approaches, the micro and the macro one in order to deal with this problem "the Knowing-Doing-Gap" from many perspectives. The result of this research shows that both approaches complement each other in solving this problem and minimize this gap. Keywords: Knowledge Society, University, Knowledge Community, Economics.
