Abstract |
The disaster recovery system (DRS) for information technology (IT) sector enables an organization to recover and restore lost data by storing the data in internal or external servers, and other applications that contribute to keeping the data and systems of the organization safe. The DRS provides the needed technology to secure the information asset of the organization such as databases, personal computer systems, and professional files where the loss of these assets would create large obstacles for the organization to achieve its goals and objectives. This study intends to measure the technical competency of IT unit in the Ministry of Communication of Kuwait to operate, manage, and develop a DRS. The data is obtained by using questionnaire that was distributed to IT unit employees. Keywords- Disaster Recovery System, Information Technology, Databases. | |||||||||
