Abstract |
The purpose of two-way bilingual program is to preserve minority students’ first language, cultural backgrounds and personal valuable things during teachers’ instructions. In this research project, it focuses on few different perspectives by investigating effective programming in two-way bilingual program in Texas, which includes the background of students, how dual literacy is used, student’s enrollment in Texas, grade level, and regions. What was the difference of passing rate (reading part) for English speaking students and English language learners from Texas Assessment of Knowledge Skills (TAKS).
