Abstract
This paper presents the results of a multidimensional analysis investigating patterns of linguistic features in the 30 nursing research articles from the top 5 international leading journals ranked by SCImaco 2014. The findings were that the researcher tended to apply four patterns of linguistic features to create their articles. Pattern I: Evaluative Stance Focused consisted of ten positive lexico-grammatical features. Pattern II: Established Knowledge Focused comprised eight positive features. Pattern III Claim Focused had thirteen positive features. Patten IV: Intention Focused contained six positive features. Index terms: Genre Analysis, Corpus Analysis, Patterns of Linguistic Features, Factor Analysis.
