Abstract
Logistics function as part of the company strategy should be managed carefully in the increasing competition in business. In order to introducing new products and services to the market more rapidly and efficiently, many firms are seeking to outsource their logistics activities to logistics service providers. LSPs can perform the entire or selected logistics process of their customers. Three primary reasons for using logistics service providers are service improvement, cost reduction and focus on core competencies. However when firms hire not proper LSPs, it will be source of problems. In order to hire appropriate LSPs, firms should know the LSPs performance. Therefore research that investigates LSPs performance is needed. This study use survey as method to collect data. The result of this study shows the Indonesia LSPs performances are good in reputation and status, quality and reliability and capability to decreasing risk.
