Abstract |
This article pointed out significance of the concept of good governance as a cornerstone to facilitating Thailand to shift towards the Thailand 4.0 development scheme. The aims of this article were to review, analyze and discuss ways for local government to apply the concept of good governance in their administration. The findings addressed some fundamental principles applicable to the local government, including the rule of law, transparency, participation, accountability, morality and cost- effectiveness, which lead to more positive image and minimizing corruptions. Application of the principles of good governance down to the local authorities is therefore a key stone for Thailand in its transition to Thailand 4.0 development scheme.
