Abstract
Studies have revealed that work environment is even influential over personnel’s mental condition. This study aims at identifying the relation exists between interior design related variables of workplace with the degree of stress experienced by personnel of a university. After identification of the related aspects including: sound and noise, environmental dimensions and congruence, congestion, furniture arrangement, light and transparency, questionnaires were distributed among personnel to assess the degree of their stress. The degree of stress was once again assessed after making some changes in the said variables. This research confirms that degree of stress is an effect of interior specifications of workplace and can be changed with making improvement in interior design.
