Abstract |
Abstract - This paper presents the purpose of environmental literary studies with special focus on eco criticism “The age of technological innovations, urbanization, scientific discoveries and globalization demand a lot of aspects which sometimes unknowingly affect environment. Most of the literary work cover the topics like race, class, gender & social issues during the 20th century. “Many never know the earth at all unless & until one heard about oil spills, toxic waste contamination, extinction of species, battles over public land and growing hole in the ozone layer. Environmental literary studies were started in the mid-eighties with collaboration projects & early nineties it grew up”.
