Abstract
Abstract - These Business managers want employees to work to achieve business goals. However, organizational variables are considered in cases where not all employees are able to work at the same level to achieve business goals. For this research, work engagement, intention to leave, and leader-member interaction were considered. The aim of this study is to explore the mediating role of leader-member exchange between work engagement and turnover intention. To achieve this aim, a research questionnaire was applied to 511 bank employee participants and the hypotheses were tested by analysing 500 valid questionnaire data with structural equation modelling using SPSS AMOS program. The research questionnaire consists of the Uthrecht Work Engagement Scale (Schaufeli et al., 2006), the leader-member interaction scale (Liden &Maslyn, 1998), and the turnover intention scale (Cammann et al., 1983). It is understood that professional respect (PR) variable has a full mediation role in the effect of work engagement (WE) variable on turnover (TRO). A full mediation role was determined in the effect of Contribution (CO) variable and Work Engagement (WE) variable on Turnover (TRO) variable. A full mediation role has emerged in the effect of the Loyalty (LO) variable and the work engagement (WE) variable on the Turnover (TRO) variable. According to the results of the research, no significant relationship was found between the level of work engagement and the intention to leave. However, other research hypotheses have been confirmed. The fact that the employees are passionate about working shows that they are willing to contribute more to the organization they are in, and therefore, the intention to leave the job of the employees with this motivation decreases. The high level of work passion of the employees caused them to feel more loyalty to the organization or their managers. This reduces their intention to quit their job. Keywords - Leader-Member Exchange, Work Engagement, Turnover Intention.
