Abstract
Abstract - One Communication is one of the most fundamental prerequisites for the continuation of a society. Communication is important for an individual to express his/her thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Sign language is a language that communicates through signs and visual gestures. It is difficult to learn Indian Sign Language for communicating with hearing-impaired people because it consists of double-hand and single-hand gestures. It is difficult for an individual to afford a translator for communication. In the era of computer vision, machine learning can be used to remove this communication barrier. A survey and comparative study of the Sign Language Recognition system for Indian Sign Language developed by many researchers are presented in this paper.
