Abstract |
Abstract - This paper is an attempt to construct IFI for the districts of Bihar on the basis of methodology adopted by M. Sarma (2012). To evaluate the inter-district variations, banking sector indicators have been taken and analysed. Result shows that IFI values range from 0.55 (Sitamarhi) to 1.00 (Patna). All the developed districts performed better in banking sector indicators i.e. district-wise number of bank account, bank branches, ATM, BCs, Credit and deposit with some exceptions.
