Abstract |
Abstract - Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a social-constructivist and student-centered pedagogy. Professional teacher education programs that implement PBL models often require prospective teachers to identify the nature of the problem under study, consider multiple perspectives, and communicate these findings with their peers. This presentation discusses a recently implemented and tested unique hybrid Problem Based Learning model in a teacher education program in Ontario, Canada. Moreover, the discussion is based primarily on a case-study that implicates understandings of Indigenous worldviews in contemporary publicly funded schools. Keywords - Indigenous worldviews, Problem-Based Learning. | |||||||||
