Abstract
CSR is the responsibility of enterprises for their impact on society. This can be achieved by integrating social, environmental, ethical, consumer, and human rights concerns into their business strategy and operations; and, not only by following the law. Indian companies, being global MNCs, adhere to global CSR discourse. Since the enactment of Companies Act 2013, fulfilling Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a statutory obligation of Indian companies. It is evident, to a certain extent, that there is shift of CSR from charity to strategy. The strategic CSR is expected to have less degree of impact due to changes in dynamic external business environment; may it be unprecedented global calamity like COVID 19. This paper aims at studying triangular relationship of core competencies, CSR policies and CSR practices of selected companies in India with a view to ascertaining the integration of CSR in business strategies. Keywords - CSR, CSR Integration, Strategic CSR, COVID 19.
