Abstract
By separating the semiotic and the symbolic, Kristeva seeks to bring the semiotic chora back to the realm of politics. Chora includes the libidinal force belonging to the mother-child relationship, which has always been suppressed while propagating the components of the symbolic realm. Kristeva regards this repression as the basis of all repressions and aims to restrain the authority by returning to this suppressed affair. Here, the repressed affair does not return by itself, but should be restored by a profound psychoanalysis. Giving it a political character Kristeva considers this return a revolt, and thus reveals the deep relationship between macro politics and micro politics. We are going to present this psychoanalytic perception of the political affair as corpopolitics. As we will discuss, corpopolitics seeks to prevent matricide, and that is the most indispensable political act, for we believe patriarchy to be the root of every kind of violence and repression. Keywords - Chora, Abjection, Libidinal Chaos, Matricide, Revolt, Corpopolitics.
