Abstract
This research aims to study language strategies used to close narrative. The data was selected from Tedtalks.com, 10 personal stories from narrator’s experience. According to Labov’s model, personal narrative consist of 6 components including abstract, orientation, complicating action, evaluation, resolution, and coda. The research focused on examining language strategies used to close narrative in coda part. It was found that there were 6 language strategies that narrators use to close the story that is summary, call for action, aspiring, rhetorical question, end with story, and mention to famous person.
