Abstract
By the means of an In-depth case study of Defence Housing Authority (DHA)-a gated community in Lahore, Pakistan this research demonstrates how gated communities affect the means by which social exclusion is experienced within specific city spaces. By employing Lefebvre's idea of right to the city and the social production of space, this research problematizes the actors, mechanisms and discourses that shape DHA as an elite exclusive site where domestic workers are not welcome. The research also examines the means by which spaces within DHA are produced, maintained and regulated as a site of class based social exclusion. Keywords - Domestic Workers, Gated Communities, Production Of Space, Social Exclusion.
