Abstract |
International business is best learned by experience. Case methodology has been used for decades as a way to bring real world business situations into the classroom and to offer students the simulated experience of dealing with and solving a range of business problems. However, in today’s technology driven world, an alternative to case methodology, one that offers hands-on experience across business disciplines and across cultural boundaries, presents a better solution to preparing students for successful careers. Additionally, cases are often based on large corporations from a western viewpoint or framework. Introducing Global Virtual Teams into classrooms benefits student learning and career preparation. This paper will highlight how such teams work and their value for classroom learning. Index Terms - Global Virtual Teams, GVT, Global Business, Communication, Leadership. | |||||||||
