Abstract
This research is intended to study factors affecting border trade economic policy of Thailand and Lao People’s Democratic Republic. The research utilizes a quantitative research method. It is an exploratory research in which the questionnaires are used to collect data from the 400 entrepreneurs performing their businesses in Nong Khai province. The results show that factors affecting the border trade economic policy of Thailand and Lao People’s Democratic Republic, in the overall perspectives, is at the high level. When consider each item separately, the highest item is entrepreneur status, and following by marketing strategy, advancement in communications and technology, differences in social and cultural context, operation of the officers, international trade regulations, economic promotion program, and the last lowest one, is political and foreign affairs policy.
