Abstract |
The objectives of this paper are to study the alcohol policies in Muslim countries in the ASEAN Community and to compare alcohol policies among these countries. This qualitative research is conducted be examining documents concerning the alcohol policies in Muslim countries in the ASEAN Community--i.e., Brunei, Indonesia, and Malaysia. The result of the study indicates that all these countries have a wide range of the alcohol policies including investment policy, import policy, drink age policy, retailing policy, drink-drive policy, advertising policy, and area policy.
