Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating role of job satisfaction between stressors and work behavior. By using multi sources data collection technique, data was collected at two points from 872 employees from heterogeneous group of organizations. Mediation was checked by bootstrapping method. Results showed that challenge stressors have positive while hindrance stressors have negative relation with job performance. Further, the mediating role of job satisfaction in a link of challenge stressors with job performance was also confirmed while in case of Hindrance stressors it was found inconsistent. Avenues for further research have been given at the end. Key words - Challenge stressors, Hindrance stressors, Job satisfaction, Job performance, Pakistan.
