Abstract
Nearly every aspect of modern life involves computers, and education, especially in the form of e-learning, is no exception. However, for those who are less tech savvy, human-computer interaction can pose some obstacles to the learning process, which is why it is important to follow some usability guidelines when designing or evaluating an e-course. Models abound and this article focuses on some of the most reputable and widely-used ones. In spite of the many points of contact in their scope, they differ either in the approach or in some aspects such as the presence of absence of an affective dimension, for instance. All, however, aim at making the technology which supports the learning environments invisible. Keywords- Usability, E-learning, Evaluation, Instructional Design, Models.
