Abstract
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM), a multi-carrier modulation scheme has many advantages like reduction in delay spread, immunity to frequency selective fading, high spectral efficiency etc. But, the OFDM suffers from very problem i.e high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR), which causes the non-linearity of High Power Amplifier (HPA) at the transmitter side. In this paper, we considered the simulation results of BER and MSE of QPSK and QAM. Further, in order to reduce the PAPR, we propose the Selected Mapping (SLM) method with QPSK and 8-QAM modulation. Simulation results shows that QPSK performance is better than 8- QAM. Keywords— PAPR, BER, SLM,OFDM
