Abstract |
In recent years there has been an increasing interest in using nanotechnology for prostate cancer therapy. Conventional detection methods as well as treatments have significant side effects which makes them unpopular. Nanomaterials have unique physical, optical and electrical properties that have proven to be very useful in the medical electronics field. In this paper we discuss five major types of nanoparticles that have the potential to greatly improve the scope of detection and treatment of prostate cancer. Keywords—Prostate Cancer; Nanotechnology; Prostate Specific Antigen; Gold Nanoparticle; Quantum Dots; Carbon Nanotube; Nanowire; Magnetic Nanoparticle | |||||||||
