Abstract
With increasing consumer demand for wireless devices to support multiple air standards and applications, there have been increased trends for implementation of multimode multiband devices in the RF front-end of wireless handsets and for 5G networks. This paper presents a CMOS based RF Band pass filter for 5G devices with frequency 3.5GHz. The filter response is tuned by employing switched capacitors in parallel with LC resonant circuits. The Q-factor of the filter is made tunable by varying the trans conductance of the Gm-cell connected parallel to the resonant circuit. The designed architecture exhibits more flexibility as the same architecture can be used for multiple center frequency achievement. In this paper, we have designed two filers one centered at 2.1GHz and another at 3.5GHz. Gain of 37.3dB, Noise Figure of 4.3dB, with 1dB compression point at -9dBm and IIP3 point at 21dBm have been obtained for the filter centered with 3.5GHz while gain of 32.77dB, Noise Figure3.43db,1dB compression point at -21dBm and IIP3 point at 40dBm obtained for the filter with the mid frequency 2.1 GHz.
