Abstract |
The work in this article presents a low-profile, four-port MIMO antenna that supports fifth-generation (5G) wireless applications using a millimetre-wave (mm-Wave) band has been designed and implemented. An elliptical radiation patch, a flawed ground construction, and an antenna make up each antenna element. In order to increase the radiation performance and impedance bandwidth, a rectangular DGS and an elliptical slot are carved on the radiation patch. Fourelement MIMO antenna systems undergo various simulation and analytical processes. To test the concept, a four-element MIMO antenna system prototype with total dimensions of 40 mm × 40 mm × 0.508 mm was made using a Rogers RT5880 (Lossy) material substrate. The proposed antenna covers the 5G mm-Wave band ranging from 23.5 – 32.5 GHz and 6.37dBi gain that could be achieved. Moreover, the reduced correlation values, stronger diversity gain, and lower channel capacity loss make it a viable option for mm-Wave 5G MIMO applications. Keywords - Envelop Correlation Coefficient (ECC), Multiple-Input-Multiple- Output (MIMO), DGS, 5G Antenna, Millimetre Wave. | |||||||||
