Abstract
Logistics automation industry requires cost-effective and practical solutions to measure the object dimensions.Inthis research, it is aimed to determine the dimensions of rectangular objects such as boxes practically and economically by using a 2-dimensional (2D) camera. This paper proposes using computer vision technics for this purpose. Firstly, predefined aruco markers are used as reference measurements, and then the dimensions of boxes are computed proportionally. The relationship between the calculated and the actual measurements demonstrates good agreement withaverage error rangesbetween 1.6% and 13%.
