Abstract |
Abstract - This paper presents a solar powered irrigation and pest detection system where solar power is used to operate a smart irrigation system with pest detection capabilities. In agricultural fields, lot of manpower is required, and even though people have enough land to devote for agriculture in their home, they are unable to do so. The Solar powered smart irrigation and pest control system aims to tackle problems with respect to intermittency of the sun, less agricultural yield and the animal attacks faced by farmers during crop production. The irrigation system is automated with electricity produced by solar panels as power source, and pest detection techniques like image processing are incorporated to produce real time results.
