Abstract |
Abstract - In the IoT ecosystem, the exchange among content supply and energy use is critical. In this paper, we focus on an information-centric networking model and pro-pose a distributed caching-based energy-saving solution for IoT material. Using RIOT-OS, we apply a variety of caching and replacement approaches to the NDN protocol. We conducted various tests on actual IoT hardware in a network of fifty nodes in order to show how caching strategies can reduce energy consumption while still reserving the supply of IoT material.
