Abstract
Abstract - Solar energy being a most effective renewable energy source is being used in the field of irrigation. The systems which are based on the solar energy is very much beneficial with respect to the Indian farmers as solar energy is cost effective solution for the farmers. The proposed system consists of the solar pumps along with the automatic water control system which will be helpful in sustainable use of water and better productivity of crops. The proposed system is also cost effective as it will reduce the spending of farmer and also gives the facility to store the energy in the batteries which is connected with the net metric system so that farmers can get the information regarding the energy stored in the battery and this energy can be transferred to the nearby grid at proper price so that farmers income can get increase.
